GateLAN EASY is a new family of audio and video door-phones Over IP that uses only the LAN to connect the apparatuses and that lets to install easily and inexpensively audio or video entry-phone systems.
The audio and video door-phones Over IP that belong to the family GateLAN-EASY are easy to be programmed, easy to be installed, easy to be used and easy to be serviced; after all is said and done they are particularly advantageous economically every time that it is possible to use an already existing LAN, avoiding in such way to lay out the cables exclusively for the door-phones, or in large areas where standard cabling is too much expensive.

These audio door phones Over IP and these video door phones Over IP use the standard TCP/IP protocol and, consequently, they can share the LAN with whichever system already installed over the same LAN. They manage the LAN directly without interfaces or central units and therefore you can connect the door phones directly over the LAN without the need of none additional device. Besides, the greatest part of these apparatuses have power supply in POE and therefore they are connected to the LAN with only a cable with consequent reduction of the costs.

In order to have the maximum simplification, the audio entry systems and the video entry systems that ERMES offers use a Peer-To-Peer communication protocol that doesn't need server or any other central device for the management of the system; therefore the planning of the systems and their expansion or modification are simple and immediate.

The IP addresses assigned to the door entry phones are static IP addresses that identifies them in univocal way and therefore allow the use of Peer-To-Peer communication techniques (direct communication between the apparatuses), this solution make easy to implement complex call criterions between the apparatuses without the necessity to have in the system servers or central management units.
At the same time, if it was necessary in order to satisfy the system requirements, you can have bridge devices able to transfer the call to an telephone exchange with SIP protocol making easy the integration with the telephone network.

The configuration of the apparatuses i made easy by the adoption of owners MAC addresses that simplify strongly the configuration of the main parameters thanks to an advanced scouting function of the LAN that allows to individualize type and characteristics of the apparatuses installed and to set up automatically the main parameters that make possible the communication.

The call units of the entry door phones have a new pleasant shape that is characterized by rounded forms and by the absence of loopholes for the positioning of the microphone and the loudspeaker and, therefore, they can be installed in places where it is necessary to have great attention to the aesthetic of the technological objects. The case is made in stainless steel with die parts in nylon added with glass fibers and therefore these intercoms are also proper to be used in industrial environments or when very strong construction is required.
The video door entry phone Over IP is available with one call button or with four call buttons and these units can be provided in wall mounting version or flush mounting version.

For receiving the calls coming from the IP videophone it is possible to use or the stand-alone receiver in tabletop version (code GateLAN-EV.RDT) or the software GateLAN.SW that must be installed on a PC; in both cases, the devices must have a static IP address.

If you adopt the solution with the software, you can use the PC for your usual work normally but when arrive a call on the screen will appear a mask that will allow you to talk with the person near the door and to see the images.

GateLAN.SW offers you the possibility to perform the covered listening of the sounds in the area near the calling units and to see the images directly from the PC even when a call is not active. ( more).

The audio door entry phones Over IP are available both in wall versions or in recessed version and each of these apparatuses can be available with one, four or eight call buttons; the apparatuses used for this purpose are the intercom of the InterLAN-EASY family that can work as door entry phone when are properly programmed.

The audio entry-phones can adoptee two different solution for the stations that receive the calls: the first uses a stand alone equipment like the InterLAN-EO.PP that is a desk version intercom, the second is a PC based solution that uses the software VideoLAN.SW.

Each external door-phone unit has 2 opto-relays that can be activated remotely by means of the buttons present on the stand alone receiving stations or on the screen that the software displays on the monitor; you can use these opto-relays in order drive the opening of doors, gates or to give a command to whichever external device. These audio and video door entry systems over LAN enables to install economically and easily a wide range of audio and video door phone systems and avoids the costs related to the laying a dedicated cabling.
